Wimbledon final gives Mark a big rankings boost

July 8, 2003: A couple of post-Wimbledon articles added describing how Mark is headed home and will be resuming those killer training sessions tomorrow. Also I’ve updated the FAQ with a detailed timeline of all Mark’s knee injuries and what was done (that I know about at least). And a hearty welcome to all my new visitors! So far in July alone there have been over 28,000 visitors which is more than the previous three months combined!

July 7, 2003: The new rankings were released today and Wimbledon was huge benefit to Mark. His 12 month ranking jumped from 48 to 22 and he is now 8th in the Champions Race for this year. If Mark keeps playing well those numbers are bound to improve. Last year he only played 3 tournaments post-Wimbledon and went out in the 1st or 2nd round of each so it means he has very few points to defend for the rest of the season. Mark is currently scheduled for three weeks off and will be returning to play at the Masters event in Indianapolis on the 21st. Also the next round of Davis Cup play has been awarded to Melbourne for Sept 19-21st. 24 more articles added.
