August 2, 2003: Mark’s impressive run at the Mercedes ran into the ever dangerous Wayne Ferreira. Mark put up a a good fight but went down 4-6, 5-7. We’re ahead of the media cycle so those will come tomorrow.
August 2, 2003: Mark continued his run in Los Angeles with a tight 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 (7-4) win over Kuerten last night to advance to the semis where he will face Wayne Ferreira. Their match is scheduled for 7pm PST. Seven articles and two photos added.
August 1, 2003: Unfortunately Mark & Lleyton lost their second round doubles match 3-6, 7-5, 4-6 to Humphreies and Baranov last night. Tonight Mark will play Kuerten in the quarterfinals. Mark has a 2-1 record against Kuerten, but they haven’t played since 2000. Numerous articles and photos added.
July 31, 2003: Mark has another good outing today at the Mercedes-Benz Cup with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Michael Chang to advance to the quarters. His doubles match against Humphries/Merklein is set for later tonight.
July 29, 2003pm: Mark passed the hurdle of his first singles match post-Wimbledon with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Kennedy. It was a good win with a match time of one hour and 12 aces. Several articles added. Several photos and articles added.
July 29, 2003: Mark’s first match since Wimbledon resulted in a tough win with Hewitt 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 over Ferreira & Gimelstob in the doubles. Later today (approx. 1pm California time) he’ll play Kennedy in singles.
July 28, 2003: The Mercedes Benz Cup gets underway today in Los Angeles and after two weeks of even more rigorous training Mark is back on the court. Mark is the 5th seed and starts playing fellow Aussie Adam Kennedy. He is also playing doubles with Hewitt and today will face the team of Ferreira and Gimelstob.
