October 30, 2003: Media wrap-up from Paris. A few articles and photos added.
October 29, 2003: Barring an injury to one of the Masters’ players, Mark can kiss his Houston hopes goodbye. (His best chance is if Schrichpan doesn’t win the tournament in Paris and that Nalbandian’s wrist doesn’t recover in time). He lost an incredibly tight match to Kuerten today 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (11-13), 6-7 (1-7). The match was incredibly tight (not a single break of serve!) and Mark even had five match points in the second set tie-break but couldn’t convert.
October 28, 2003: Mark will play Kuerten, who took out Fish, tomorrow night in Paris.
October 27, 2003: Mark’s bid for that eighth spot at the Masters Cup got an unexpected boost when Nalbandian had to withdraw from the Swiss final with a wrist injury. He hasn’t yet pulled out of Paris (that decision will be made before his second round match) but if he does, that gives Mark an excellent chance to catch and pass him for that final spot (he’s needs at least 71 points to pass Nalbandian and must stay ahead of Grosjean who he leads by a 1 point margin.)
