More errors than winners

Today was yet another bad day for Mark, as he lost 4-6, 2-6, 5-7 to Kucera. No major reports out yet, but the numbers tell it all: 24 winners and 48 errors. You can’t win a tennis match if you’re losing more points than you’re winning – replying on your opponent to make more mistakes than you is not the way to go. Unfortunately this loss means that it’s unlikely that Mark will be handed wildcards to any major upcoming tournament (with one possible exception of the Shanghai Open since he’s a past champion). What this loss means for the rest of Mark’s season is yet to be determined.
